08 OUR TOP 5 COHEED FAVES

After more than a decade making music together, it’s no surprise that Coheed has an expansive repertoire that spans genres (and galaxies). After many man-hours of reliving memories and looping the group’s more recent hits, we’ve somehow managed to pick our top 5 songs (plus a bonus, because we just couldn’t help ourselves). It wasn’t easy, but we hope you enjoy.

Psst—if you’re still craving more Coheed (who isn’t?), scroll to the bottom to check out a Spotify playlist featuring our “short list” of the 30 songs that eventually made it down to our top five.

“Devil in Jersey City” (from the 2002 album: The Second Stage Turbine Blade)
This song is a classic that persistently has us cranking the stereo all the way up.

“In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3”
(from the 2003 album of the same name)
We love this live performance of this epic (eight-minute!) song. MAN YOUR OWN JACKHAMMER!

“Ten Speed (Of God’s Blood & Burial)”
(from the 2005 album: Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One)
Perhaps not the first song many might recognize from this album (Exhibit A, Exhibit B), but its addictive pacing and feel keep bringing us back for more.

“Pearl of the Stars”
(from the 2010 album: Year of the Black Rainbow)
Slowing things down a bit, this song is tender and captivating—especially in this live performance.

“Here to Mars”
(from their most recent album: The Color Before the Sun)
In our eyes, the runaway hit from their newest record. It’s so emotionally charged, it literally gives us goosebumps.

“Hello”
(Adele cover)
Okay, we said top five, but COME ON! Claudio covering Adele?! How can anyone resist? You have to hear this one.
